Janet Iwasa

Cell Biologist, University of Utah

Janet Iwasa is a faculty member in the Biochemistry Department at the University of Utah. Her broad goal is to create accurate and compelling molecular visualizations that will support research, learning and scientific communication. After receiving a Ph.D. from UCSF, she completed a postdoc with Jack Szostak and later worked on biological visualizations as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School.

      

Jimmy Lin

Cancer Biologist, Natera

Dr. Cheng-Ho Jimmy Lin, MD, PhD, MHS is the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), Oncology at Natera (NASDAQ: NTRA), where he is leading the development of new diagnostic technologies for cancer. The first product is Signatera, a personalized liquid biopsy technology that that analyzes and tracks mutations specific to an individual's tumor. Dr. Lin is also a 2016 Senior TED Fellow and Founder & President of Rare Genomics Institute, the world's first platform to enable any community to leverage cutting-edge biotechnology to advance understanding of any rare disease.

Kellee Santiago

Game Producer, Google

Kellee Santiago is a video game developer, producer, investor, and advocate. As Co-Founder of thatgamecompany, developed one of the most prominent brands in independent and innovative game development. She currently works at Google, bringing games & apps to new platforms for immersive computing, and is co-founder of the angel investment fund Indie Fund. In 2010, she became a TED Fellow and was recognized as one of The Ten Most Influential Women in Games of the Past Decade.

Adam Saltsman

Game Developer, Finji

Adam Saltsman is a game designer and the director of collaborative game studio Finji (Canabalt, Night in the Woods), based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Adam also serves as an advisor to Femicom Museum and the NYU Game Center Incubator, as well as helping organize GDC, Fantastic Arcade, and Juegos Rancheros, a non-profit arts collective.

Rebekah Saltsman

Game Developer, Finji

Rebekah started her career as a technical writer and product manager in the photography software industry. She moved into games in 2008, providing financial services to several studios and eventually being in charge of business development. Rebekah is now the CEO of collaborative game studio Finji in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Kyle McKernan

Game Artist, Finji

Kyle McKernan is an artist, designer and animator based in New Jersey. In addition to his years of design work in print, web and games, Kyle has done animation and motion graphics for various brand identity, video and interactive projects.

Mike Lee

Game Engineer, Finji

Michael Lee is a programmer focused on creating meaningful interactive experiences that are both entertaining and educating. He was the technical director on Happy Atoms, a physical and digital chemistry modeling set designed for smart devices. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 with a Masters in Entertainment Technology and currently lives in Pittsburgh, PA.

Chipzel

Composer and Sound Designer

Niamh Houston, also known by her stage name Chipzel, is a BAFTA nominated and award winning independent composer and performer from Northern Ireland. Over the past 10 years Chipzel toured all over the world, released 3 studio albums including Spectra, and contributed scores and original music for Super Hexagon, Chime Sharp, Interstellaria, and Pixelgrams.

Greg Johnson

Image Analyst

Greg received a PhD in Computational Biology from Carnegie Mellon University in 2016. His research involves developing tools to understand and model the morphological variation of cellular components from microscope images, and using these models to predict cell behavior and organization.
